MAM attending the Life Ball in Vienna, Austria.

About

What gets MAM excited? It’s the ruffle on a collar, an outrageous hat or dress, a feather, the combinations of great colors, the petals on a flower, too many sequins, beads or necklaces, or just the best moustache. MAM wants to laugh and bring a smile to everyone’s face through her art.

MAM started out studying fashion at Pratt Institute, but switched to communication design and received her BFA from Parsons School of Design in New York. Then she went on to a career in advertising and graphic design with a focus on cut paper illustration and poster design. She worked for Saatchi and Saatchi,  The Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Sports Illustrated and created the logo for the island of Saint Martin through the Saint Martin Bureau of Tourism. She has won awards from The New York Art Directors Club, American Public Transit Association, Creativity Magazine and The Rx Club Award of Excellence.

In 2008 she moved to Vienna, Austria and was mentored by Mag. Marianne Krambichler and studied painting and drawing at the Vienna Volkshochschule. Returning to the states in 2016, she combined her love of the poster and silkscreening with her love of drawing, painting, fashion and color.

Never wanting to part with her one of a kind drawings or paintings, she started limited editions of her silkscreens prints and monoprints. Starting with a monoprint and excepting the mishaps, she layers on colors and finds the beauty and details in the jumble. Each print looks like an original artwork but is part of an edition limited to less than ten. Each print is approximately 17" x 22" (43 cm X 63 cm) arrive matted, 4" all around for a finished size of approximately 22" x 30" (56 x 76 cm) and are ready to frame or can be custom framed. Each print is initialed and numbered on the front and signed, dated and numbered on the back.
